Home Our Trip WA - South 3 & 4-Esperance
3 & 4-Esperance

Arrived in Esperance on 19th May
Really nice caravan site with only 50 metres of luscious green lawn between us and the beach. Falling asleep to the gentle crashing waves was so relaxing and what life on the road is all about.

A beautifull little town with stunning beaches and enjoyable walks.
Headed out on the Great Ocean Drive which is only 39 kms long so allowed around an hour for the trip. Wroooong - It ended up taking us over 4 hours. Every twist and turn was an eye opener with stunning bays, beaches and awesome views. Gotta be the best beaches and sea views we've seen anywhere.

Took a boat trip out to Woody Island. Dolphins swimming alongside the boat with us, sea eagles, sea lions and various other wildlife make this a must do excursion. The Recherche Archipelago off Esperance consists of a group of 105 islands which are just rocky outcrops and are mostly barren of vegetation. Woody Island is the only one that boasts vegetation and trees and has been set up as a sanctuary for tourists and campers.

Cape Le Grande:

We thought Esperance and the Great Ocean Drive was awesome. It pales in significance to Cape Le Grande.
From the moment you enter the the National Park, every twist and turn is awe inspiring with it's landscapes, beaches and lagoons you dream about or see in the movies. The fish weren't biting and only caught a little flathead, which went straight back.
Absolutely awesome is an understatement, words just cannot do justice to this paradise which boasts Australia's best and whitest beaches.
It really is an unbelievable and gobsmacking experience..

Bremer Bay:

A quite, sleepy laid back resort which is mainly tourist driven. Not much to see or do other than just relax.
We did the tourist drive and visited the Lookouts, but still just a sleepy, laid back resort.
Rained all day so took the opportunity to catch up on things and get the new web site rolling along.
Hopefully only a few more days and you'll be able to log onto the website for daily updates and some photos.

Tomorrow off to Albany and another whole new experience :)
