13-Perth

13th June 2008.
Arrived back in our home town of Perth to get the necessary servicing and warranty items fixed before continuing north. After being away from all the traffic and hustle and bustle for a while, it was a rude awakening hitting all the Perth traffic again.
It was really good to catch up with Sean, Tarm and Steven (our son, his wife and grandson) again

12-Mandurah

12th June 2008.
First went to Mandurah when we arrived in Australia about 22 years ago and it was just a small bush town a few hours from Perth. It is now under an hours drive and has boomed into a thriving metropolis and millionaires paradise with houses on the canals and mega-buck boats moored on the private jetties.

11-Bunbury

10th June 2008.
Arrived in Bunbury and it was absolutely bucketing down with rain, yes again.  Bunbury doesn't really have any major tourist attractions other than the Dolphin Discovery Centre, but we found some little gems. We caught up with Kelly and Tony (friends of ours from Perth) and had a nice barbie with them.

10-Busselton & Augusta

5th June 2008.
Arrived in Busselton and it was absolutely bucketing down with rain. There's nothing worse than trying to setup or packup a caravan in the pouring rain, it's hard, miserable work. Busselton is a sleepy, laid back holiday town and the main attraction is the longest wooden jetty in the southern hemisphere and at 1,841 metres, is the second longest in the world.

9-Margaret River

2nd June 2008.
Margaret River has exploded into one of Australia's premiere wine growning regions and a huge tourist destination over the past few years. It has become a tourist mecca based on their wineries, surfing, boutique breweries, cheese, chocolate and venison factories and have ensured Margaret River is the place to get away for that well deserved holiday break.
