3rd October 2008.
Despite all the stories we had heard, we crossed the border into the NT and were not searched for fruit and vegetables etc. The quarantine search is only on entering WA and I suggest anyone entering WA do there homework on what produce you can and can't bring in, coz you'll lose it if it's on the list.
The first thing we notice was the speed limit increases from 110kph in WA to 130kph in the NT. We also had to remember to turn our clocks 1.5 hours forward. The scenery was quite different and there were many interesting stops on the way to Katherine including Timber Creek, the Gregory and the Keep River National Parks.
