Introduction:

We can't really advise you on what to buy, because every one has different requirements and expectations. What we can do is advise you on the process of how we selected and chose our rig and gear and how it worked out for us.

The Nissan GU Patrol, or Tinkerbelle as Marlene has now nicknamed her, towed very well and was as steady as a rock, even when road trains went past.

My only wish list was for a little more power for overtaking and to hopefully make it a bit more economical on diesel.

Come Xmas (2007) and we need a break, so we take the caravan on it's maiden voyage to iron out the bugs and make sure we've equipped it with everything we need.

Two very important considerations before you take the plunge and head off:
How competent are you at towing and reversing your caravan and are you up to date with towing and caravan etiquette?
How much experience do you have in 4 wheel driving, including, beach, bush and outback?
